Description

The VTC75 CNC vertical lathe, commonly referred to as the 75 CNC vertical lathe, is a heavy-duty, precision machining machine custom-designed for disc- and ring-shaped rotary components used in the automotive and rail transport industries, such as axles, wheel hubs and brake drums. With a maximum swivel diameter of 750 mm, it is suitable for the batch precision machining of small to medium-sized heavy-duty wheel hubs and short axles. The entire machine bed and column are constructed from tempered, high-grade grey cast iron. Roller linear guides are paired with a heavy-duty servo spindle, ensuring high rigidity and resistance to cutting vibrations. The vertical clamping structure utilises the workpiece’s own weight to guarantee stable positioning, perfectly meeting the requirements for single-set machining of wheel hubs, axle ends, internal bores, external circles and mounting flanges.
Suitable workpiece range:
Automotive components: truck/coach wheel hubs, brake drums, steering knuckle shafts, half-shaft ends;
Rail transport: locomotive axle hubs, rail wheel hubs;
General-purpose disc-shaped components: flanges, bearing housings, wheel rims and other rotating parts with a radial dimension of ≤700 mm.
